Your account and community conduct

Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in details and do not impersonate others. Keep interactions platonic and respect consent, host boundaries and privacy. Harassment, discrimination, threats, scams, sexual solicitation and unlawful content are not allowed.

Identity and community information are voluntary and self-described. Do not publish another person’s private information without permission. You retain ownership of your posts and grant Sidecar permission to store and display them to provide the service.

Plans, requests and safety

A request does not reserve a place until the host accepts it. Hosts and participants are responsible for their own arrangements and should communicate changes or cancellations. Meet in public, use your judgment and report concerning behavior.

Examples are fictional demonstrations, not available meetups. Commendations reflect eligible members’ feedback, not a safety guarantee. Optional ID verification, where available, checks an identity through Stripe; it is not a background check or an endorsement.

Boosts and business promotions

Paid boosts and business promotions are optional, one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Checkout shows the price, currency, duration and applicable tax before payment. A promotion activates only after payment is confirmed. One boost may be active per plan at a time; another may be purchased after it expires. Businesses may run more than one promotion.

Paid visibility does not guarantee views, guests, sales or reservations. Business offers are labelled as promotions and remain the advertiser’s responsibility. Test checkouts do not move real money or create live purchases. A confirmed refund ends the associated promotion.

For failed activation, billing mistakes, cancellation or refund requests, contact support. Your statutory consumer rights, including any applicable withdrawal rights, are not excluded. Immediate performance does not by itself waive those rights.

Moderation and availability

We may remove unlawful or rule-breaking content and restrict accounts to protect the community. Contact support if you believe a decision was mistaken. Sidecar is in beta; availability and features may change, and uninterrupted access is not guaranteed.

Nothing here limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be limited, including mandatory consumer protections in your country. Any dispute or complaint can first be raised with support.

Privacy and updates

Our Privacy notice explains personal data use. Material changes to these terms will be identified with an updated date and communicated where appropriate.
